Review - Libeled Lady
It got a little noisy and nonsensical at the end, but for the most part I enjoyed it. Forgettable, but entertaining.

| Description: | When a newspaper prints a libelous article about heiress Connie (Myrna Loy), editor Warren (Spencer Tracy) hires Bill (William Powell). The scheme is this: Bill would marry Warren's fiancee Gladys (Jean Harlow). Then Bill would flirt with Connie and get her alone so that Gladys could burst in on them and make a scene, giving Warren an opportunity to force her to drop the suit. Connie is cold to Bill at first, but eventually falls in love with him. But Gladys also falls for Bill. It all comes to a head when Connie asks Bill to marry her. Bill agrees, thinking his marriage to Gladys isn't official. He also tells Connie all about the scheme, so when Gladys burst in on them, Connie isn't shocked. Then Warren shows up. Gladys insists she's still in love with Bill, but when Bill and Warren fake a fight, she finds out she's still in love with Warren. Bill and Connie get married for real. |
