| Description: | Philadelphia working girl Kitty Foyle (Ginger Rogers) comes from a poor but respectable background. She gets a job with the wealthy Wyn Strafford (Dennis Morgan), who runs a magazine—in spite of the desire of his high class family to go into the family business. Kitty and Wyn fall in love, but Kitty realizes his family won't accept her. She goes to NY and meets a struggling doctor, Mark (James Craig). She's getting serious about him when Wyn shows up and proposes. She accepts, but it goes as she expected with his family, and they soon divorce. She begins dating Mark again, and he proposes. But then Wyn shows up again. He's still married, but he wants to run off to South America with Kitty. She has to decide whether to live with the wealthy Wyn or marry Mark, who's career is going well. She chooses Mark. |
