| Description: | Lt. Merle Wye (Jim Hutton), accident-prone American intelligence officer, gets hit in the head with a baseball. In the hospital, he meets Lt. Molly Blue (Paula Prentiss), whom he knew in college. He asks her out, but soon discovers she also dates several other men. He's reassigned to a remote island to track down a Japanese soldier who wasn't captured when the island was taken. The soldier has been stealing Army supplies, and the Army wants him stopped. Wye gets nowhere until he comes up with the idea of using his Japanese-American aide as a spy. The aide gets friendly with a Japanese girl in the interment camp, and she tells him who the thief is. When Wye still fails to catch him, he's told to report to an even more remote island. On his last night, Molly agrees to go out with him. They run into the thief, and as Why is getting beat up, Molly throws a net over him and catches him. Wye gets to stay on the island, and Molly and he get together finally. |
