Description:Three women, Isabel (Margaret Lindsay), Fay (Ann Sheridan), and Connie (Marie Wilson), who grew up together in an orphanage meet again and decide to get together once a year. Isabel is married to wealthy stockbroker Stan Dowling (John Litel) and has a daughter, Judy, but is bored with her life. Fay is a nightclub dancer who knows some mobsters. Connie is dating her mousy boss and eventually marries him, but has little to do with the story. At one of their meets, Isabel meets a gambler and has an affair. She eventually divorces Stan and married him, abandoning her daughter. Fay spends time with Judy, and soon she and Stan hit if off and get married. Isabel stops by one day and begs to take Judy for a while. It just happens to be the day that mobsters come to collect a debt from her gambler husband. There's a struggle, and the husband is killed. Isabel and Judy are held hostage, but when the cops close in, the mobsters decide to kill them both. Isabel jumps out of a window, killing herself so the cops will come and save Judy.

Review - Broadway Musketeers

There's a scene in the nightclub where Fay is "dancing" and is arrested as a stripper when she no more than lifts one of her dress straps half an inch off her shoulder. That was unintentionally funny. Otherwise, it was a sappy melodrama.
