| Description: | Juliete (Brigitte Bardot) is an undisciplined young woman from an orphanage. She's given a job and room in Saint-Tropez where she attracts the attentions of businessman Eric (Curd Jurgens). But she only has eyes for Antoine, the oldest of three brothers who own a small shipyard. She discovers that Antoine only thinks of her as a toy, and her sponsor decides to send her back to the orphanage, so when Antoine's younger brother, Michel asks her to marry him, she agrees. She wants to be good but doesn't trust herself. She actually finds herself falling in love with Michel, but when an accident places her alone with Antoine, she sleeps with him. Figuring that she's ruing everything, she gets drunk and begins dancing in a club. Eric stops by to make a play for her, but she ignores him. Then Michel comes by to fight for his wife. When she won't stop dancing, he tries to shoot her, but Eric stops him. Michel then slaps Juliete to make her stop. Realizing that he really loves her, she goes back to him. |
