Review - Loose Ankles
Amusing to watch once, but most of the actors, including Fairbanks, recited their lines like they were reading them off cue cards.

| Description: | Heiress Ann (Loretta Young) only gets her inheritance if she gets married and avoids scandal. Irritated by her uptight and greedy relatives, she advertises for a man to cause a scandal with her. Two friends see the ad and send Gil (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.), but he's naive and innocent, and Ann falls for him and he for her. Her relatives arrive, and Gil runs off to keep from compromising Ann. To find him, she goes to a popular nightclub. Her two maiden aunts, knowing the place is going to be raided, follow her there and end up unintentionally drunk in the company of Gil's two friends. When the police raid, Gil manages to get Ann out, and the two friends (frivolous but decent) get the two maiden aunts out too. They head to Ann's house, where Ann and Gil want to get married. Ann's uncle says no, but the two aunts (encouraged by the two friends who could blackmail them) agree. |
