Description:On her second wedding anniversary, Jane (Linda Darnell) discovers that her husband Ken (Tyrone Power) is having a fling with his secretary, Kitty (Wendy Barrie). To find out what secretaries have to offer that wives don't, Jane gets a job as secretary for Bernard Dexter (Warren William), a womanizer. She hides her job from Ken, with some difficulty because he and Dexter are in the process of making a business deal. All four of them end up on a double date at a night club. Dexter invites them back to his apartment. When his wife shows up, Jane pretends it was all innocent and invites Ken and Kitty back to "her place" for the evening. Ken realizes he loves Jane, Kitty finds out what's going on and leaves in a huff, and Jane forgives all. Ken even gets a lucritive contract from Dexter.

Review - Day-Time Wife

Darnell was lovely and likeable (and only 16 when she played this part). But the acting and dialogue were terrible — making fun out of affairs. Jane being so ridiculously forgiving, Ken actually profiting from it all. Just nonsense.
