Description:While David (Robert Montgomery) looks for work, he's supported by his wife Lynn (Virginia Bruce), who works as a theatrical agent in NYC. When David gets a lucrative job in Connecticut, he expects Lynn to quit her job and move with him. She refuses, and although they have a reputation for having a great relationship, they can't settle the issue and agree to a divorce. When Lynn's uncle visits, she asks David to return home for an evening to keep the uncle from finding out they're separated. But Lynn's lawyer sends a spy (in the guise of a butler) to testify that David came home. David finds out and thinks Lynn schemed the whole thing. He storms out. Lynn realizes she's made a mistake. Then she gets word that she's pregnant. She tries to tell David, but he's no longer interested — until a friend tells him about the baby. He chases after Lynn, who agrees to move with him.

Review - First Hundred Years, The

OK acting, but I didn't care for the story. A husband and wife who really loved each other wouldn't give up this easily. And although a lot of feminists who watch this movie are irritated, I'm sure, Lynn should of course follow her husband.
