| Description: | Six unemployed actors (3 guys and 3 girls) share an apartment. They've found a play and hope to perform it for producer Arthur Kenny (Robert Benchley), not knowing that he wrote it. In the meantime, they try to hide the fact that they're sharing an apartment from the father of one of the girls. Things come to a head when they finally get Kenny to watch and do a horrible job, complete with interruptions from the police and the landlady. They're about to give up when Kenny calls them to say he wants to put it on as a farce, complete with all the mistakes and interruptions. Includes William Holden, Eddie Bracken, and Susan Hayward as three of the actors. |
