Description:When star pitcher Wacky Waters (Eddie Albert) meets actress Pepita (Lupe Velez) selling bonds at the ballpark, he falls in love. This causes distress for Wacky's teammates and their wives because Wacky's pitching is lousy when he's in love. Pepita heads to a film shoot, which enables Wacky to pitch the team into the championship. But before the series starts, Pepita sends word she's on the way. The other wives kidnap Pepita and hold her in a hotel room until the last game. She escapes (by hitting a bellboy over the head with a bat) and heads to the game. Suddenly, for reasons that aren't explained, it's Pepita's absence that makes Wacky stink. When she shows up, he suddenly become overpowering as a pitcher and even hits two home runs to win the game.

Review - Ladies' Day

A great movie for those who enjoy listen to shrill women screaming. Or for those who don't need their comedies to be remotely funny at any point. For for those who don't care if the plot is pure nonsense. Perhaps one of the two or three most annoying movies I've ever seen.
