Description:Jack (Jeff Bridges) and Frank (Beau Bridges) have performed a piano lounge act together for years. When jobs begin to dry up, they decide to audition for singers and end up with Susie Diamond (Michelle Pfeiffer), who's rough but talented. The act becomes a hit and they begin playing fancier places. On New Years, Frank has to go home to deal with a family emergency. Jack and Susie play together and end up sleeping together. This creates tension on the team and soon Susie quits. Frank blames Jack, they fight, and break up the act. They make up but Jack decides not to go back to the act. He gets a job in a jazz club playing the kind of music he really likes. Beau teaches piano lessons. Susie starts singing in commercials. The movie ends with Jack looking her up and hints that they'll get together.

Review - Fabulous Baker Boys, The

Slow moving and sad. It was billed as a comedy, but it was only funny in a sad way. The three leads were all impressive in their roles, although they were portraying a lifestyle foreign to me.
