Slapstick (and slap shot) nonsense, but amusing. As in most of his movies, Sandler beats a lot of people up, which is weird.

| Description: | Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) dreams of being a hockey player, but he can't skate very well. He finds out his grandma is about to be foreclosed around the same time he discovers by accident that he can hit a golf ball a very long way. He decides to try to win the money on the golf tour. He instantly becomes a big hit with fans although he stinks at the short game. When his chief rival, Shooter McGavin, decides to buy Grandma's house, Happy bets him he can beat him in the championship. He manages to win and gets the girl, Virginia (Julie Bowen). |
