Review - Riding Shotgun
A nice looking western, but the plot bogs down when Larry is stuck in the cantina while the townsfolk argue back and forth about what to do about him.

| Description: | Larry Delong (Randolph Scott) abandons his job riding shotgun on a stage to pursue the outlaw Maraday and his gang. He rides into a trap and is captured but learns the gang's plans—shoot up the stage and then, when the posse leaves the nearby town to chase them, circle back and rob the casino in town. Larry escapes and rides into town to warn the people that the gang is coming, but since he left the stage, the townsfolk think he's with the gang. The trap him in a cantina, but he manages to escape just as they're rushing the place. He makes his way to the casino and defeats the gang and becomes the hero. Joan Weldon hangs around the edges of the movie as the casino owner's daughter and the only person in town to believe Larry to give Larry someone to kiss at the end. |
