| Description: | Nick (Anthony Franciosa) gets out of the army and does what he can to avoid his controlling father Pete (Ernest Borgnine). He meets Giulietta (Gina Lollobrigida) in a bar and they fall in love. Pete tracks Nick down and tries to get Nick to come into his construction business, but Nick just hangs around with Giulietta except when he needs more money. He takes her to his parents anniversary party where he learns that she is a high-priced call girl who has been with Pete and most of the other me in the room. He runs out but can't stay away. He decides he wants to marry her, but Giulietta knows her past will eventually come between them. They head for Acapulco, where Pete tracks them down. He asks Giulietta to marry Nick, knowing it's the only way he can have Nick in his life. Giulietta, to drive Nick away, gets drunk and acts trashy. Nick tries to defend her, but he's arrested. When he gets out of jail, he discovers Giuleitta has committed suicide. |
