| Description: | Jake (George Murphy) and Helene (Carole Landis) are amateur sleuths who always get their lawyer friend Malone (Pat O'Brien) involved in their cases against his wishes. In this case, they attend a magic show in which the magician disappears. They had to a resort and — a lot of nonsense about a mysterious trunk, skulking strangers, and a dead body. Malone figures out that the murderer is the resort owner who offed the magician for money to pay his debts. He attempts to kill the three heroes, but fails, of course. |
