| Description: | Gerald Otley (Tom Courtenay) is a down-on-his-luck antique dealer who only wants to find a place to live. He sleeps on the couch of an acquaintance one night and finds himself, two days later, waking up in a field. He's gotten himself into the middle of a spy vs. spy adventure, with two sides playing him against the other and a couple of free-lancers along for the ride. In the end, he tries to record the head of British intelligence admitting that he works for the bad guys, but Otley, screw-up that he is, forgets to push record. The guy gets knighted, but Otley's handler, Imogen (Romy Schneider) believes him and promises him the guy won't last long. |
