| Description: | When his boss is caught with goods know to have been stolen by pirates, apprentice Davey (Donald O'Connor) is arrested. He escapes and ends up on a pirate ship. He pretends he has the plague, which causes the crew to abandon ship. Davey takes over and becomes Bloodthirsty Dave, a member of the pirate council. There, he finds out that the governor of Carolina is in cahoots with the pirates. That same governor is about to marry Davey's girl, Lady Sylvia (Helena Carter). With some clever thinking and the help of his pirate buddies, Davey manages to stop the governor and marry Lady Sylvia. |
