| Description: | Jane (Loretta Young) and Bob (John Forsythe) buy a small-town newspaper sight-unseen. They find a failing paper in a tiny town and struggle to make a go of it. They use various gimmicks to get circulation up, but one of the gimmicks goes wrong — Bob promises to bring rain on the draught-stricken area by seeding clouds. Before he can even try his stunt, it begins to rain. He's given credit at first, but when the rain doesn't stop after several days, he gets blamed and people quit subscribing to the paper. They decide to give up and move back to New York, but in the end they stick it out. |
