Description:Ben and Jennifer (Donna Reed) are on a stage to California when it's held up by Frank Slayton and his gang. Ben attempts to resist and is shot and left for dead. Slayton kidnaps Jennifer and informs her that Ben is dead so she might as well be his woman. Slayton's right-hand man, Jess (Leo Gordon) tries to protect Jennifer and is staked out and left for dead as Slayton and his gang take her and head for Mexico. Ben comes to, having apparently been shot by a bullet that left no mark or after-effects. He finds Jess, and they take off after Slayton, soon joined by Johash, an Indian whose sister was killed by Slayton. They catch up with Slayton, who offers Ben a deal—Jennifer for Jess. Jess, thinking he's been forgiven, agrees and is immediately shot by Slayton. Ben has Jennifer back, but realizes he can't leave it alone. He chases after Slayton, who still has four men with him, and Joash follows, which is a good thing for Ben, because in the final battle. Joash ends up killing all five of the bad guys while Ben kills none. In fact, Ben never kills anyone in the entire movie. All of Slayton's men involved in kidnapping his girl were killed either by Joash, Jess, or by Slayton himself.

Review - Gun Fury

Stupid movie with an even more stupid title. There were odd moments when things were shot at weird camera angles, but I realized later that the movie was shot in 3-D, which explains it. The actor who played Ben was dull and ineffective—I have to wonder if the director, knowing about the actor, deliberately made it so he killed nobody. Donna Reed just sat around quietly except for the two or three times when she made a half-hearted attempt to escape. Slayton subjected so many of his men to brutal deaths that there's no way the rest would have stayed with him in anything approaching real life. In all, just a dumb film
