Reviews for More Than a Secretary
Review - More Than a Secretary
At no point while watching this movie did I enjoy myself. It was dull and formulaic, and Jean Arthur was miscast.

| Description: | Secretary school teacher Carol (Jean Arthur) gets so fed up with student Maizie (Dorothea Kent) that she quits teaching and becomes a secretary for Fred Gilbert (George Brent), editor of a fitness magazine. Fred is all business and health, but his approach is killing circulation. Carol gets him to lighten up and make the magazine more fun, and he soon makes her assistant editor. He needs a new secretary, and hires Maizie and is soon slacking on the job to spend time with her. Carol gets fed up, quits, and takes off on vacation. Fred realizes he loves her, so he puts her picture on the front of the next issue, knowing that she'll come back to complain. When she does, he proposes marriage and she accepts. |
