Description:During WWII, pilot Andy (Lee Bowman) meets Janie (Jean Arthur), marries her, and leaves for the war—all within four days. When he comes home after more than a year, he and Janie hardly know each other and quickly decide they don't like each other. They file for divorce, but the judge, with the encouragement of Janie's father (Charles Coburn) sentences them to return to the city where they met and, as nearly as possible, relive the four days. Of course, they decide to stay together.

Review - Impatient Years, The

The only joke, repeated over and over, is that Janie and Andy tell people they're already married but never explain why they are taking out marriage licenses, going to their wedding, etc., and then think people are stupid for not figuring it out.
