| Description: | Mary (Janeane Garofalo) is a music critic with a huge snarky bent. Still hurting from her divorce of three years back, she is reluctant to commit to singer Jake, her current boyfriend, and refuses to listen to his band. When her mother in Wisconsin is injured and goes to live with her sister in Boston, Mary has to drive her mother's car, belongings, and dog, Binky. She has a variety of adventures along the way, including attending her ex's wedding. She and he have a good talk and get past issues out of the way. Mary also becomes fond of Binky. When she gets back to New York, she keeps the dog, goes to see Jake's band, and moves in with him. |
