Description:Conceited opera star Marie de Flor (Jeanette MacDonald) gets word that her brother John (Jimmy Stewart) is wanted by the RCMP after his partner kills a Mountie. Marie takes off with an Indian guide into the wilderness to bring John money so he can leave the country. Marie meets Sergeant Bruce (Nelson Eddy), who has been tasked with finding John, although Marie doesn't know this. But he knows who she is and follows her on her trek to John. Along the way they sing a lot of songs and fall in love. but when they get to John's hideout, Bruce sticks to his sworn oath to obey the law and takes him in. Marie goes back to singing opera, but her heart is no longer in it — until Bruce shows up and sings to her. We never find out what happened to John.

Review - Rose-Marie

It could have been an interesting story if they had less annoying people playing the leads and there wasn't all that irritating opera singing. I watched because I'm working my way through Jimmy Stewart movies. This was his second credited role, although he's only on screen for about three minutes.
