Description:Bill Roberts (Dana Andrews) is an American radio correspondent in Germany in 1941. The Germans know his broadcasts include code informing American agents about goings on in Germany, but they don't know where he's getting the info. Gestapo agent von Rau asks his girlfriend, Karen (Virginia Gilmore) to get close to Bill and find out. She discovers that he's in contact with a stamp dealer, not knowing the dealer is her own father. When her father is arrested and imprisoned, she becomes disillusioned withe the Nazis. She asks Bill to help her father, and he manages to get the old man out of the country. Bill himself is arrested as a result. Karen wants to help him and makes a deal with von Rau — she'll marry him if he lets Bill go. Von Rau agrees, but intends to have Bill killed. In steps Carla, von Rau's secretary, who loves him. She has decided that, if she can't have von Rau, nobody will. She helps Bill and Karen escape to Switzerland and informs on von Rau, having him arrested.

The Nazis in this movie are portrayed as evil — and a little bit stupid. An American reporter is able to outwit them at every turn. It's all ridiculously implausible, and Andrews didn't seen to take it too seriously.
