Review - Hands Across the Table
Predictable but fun movie. The two leads, played by Lombard and MacMurray looked like they were having fun.

| Description: | Hotel manicurist Regi (Carole Lombard) wants to marry a millionaire. She meets one — Allen (Ralph Bellamy) who falls in love with her, but Regi only considers him a friend. She meets Theodore (Fred MacMurray), from a prominent family, but it turns out his family lost their money in the crash and he's engaged to a wealthy heiress. Regi and Theodore realize they're both out to find rich spouses. They become friends and soon fall in love. But marrying each other means no millions and Theodore has to get a job. He decides Regi is worth it and breaks things off with his fiancée. He shows up in Allen's room where Allen is about to propose to Regi, but when Theodore makes his play, Allen says nothing, realizing that Regi loves Theodore more than she would love his money. |
