| Description: | Millard and Mona Lannon are battling over custody of their son — and the $5 million he inherited from his grandmother. Millard's sleazy lawyer, Flavin has dug up a bunch of dirt on Mona. Private detective Myrna (Jane Wyman) unwittingly used by Flavin to get the info, decides to investigate further. Then Millard is killed and Mona is the police's top suspect. Cops Jim (who happens to be Myrna's fiancée, and his partner Brody are looking for the woman. Myrna hides her in her apartment and investigates Flavin. She finds out Flavin has had himself declared guardian of the boy, which makes him the most likely murderer. Myrna goes to Flavin's office to dig up clues, but gets caught. She gets a call through to Jim telling him where Flavin's house is, and he and Brody show up in time ot save Myrna, Mona, and the boy and arrest Flavin and his goon. |
