| Description: | Free French Captain Pierre Metard (Jean-Pierre Aumont) is sent to Brittany to find secret German U-Boat bases. He impersonates Bertrand Corlay (who is incapacitated in England). It turns out that Corlay was a cad and a Nazi collaborator. Pierre manages to fool Corlay's fiancée, Anne (Susan Peters), but not Corlay's mother. He falls in love with Anne. He finds the base, but before he can get word out, he's betrayed by Corlay's mistress. He's beaten and jailed, but the French underground help him escape and get the message to England. Anne nurses him back to health, now realizing he's not Corlay. The British attack the base and destroy it, and Pierre and Anne get a ride to England with the commandos. |
