Review - Return of the Gunfighter
Nothing radically different about this western, but it was well acted and gave me someone to root for.

| Description: | Aging gunfighter Ben Wyatt (Robert Taylor) wants nothing more to do with fighting, but when his old friend Domingo sends for his help, Ben goes. He finds Domingo and his wife murdered. He learns that their daughter Anisa (Ana Martin) is with relatives in a nearby town, so Ben goes there to find out who killed her parents. On the way, he meets Lee Sutton (Chad Everett) a young gunfighter who has been injured in a duel. He brings Lee along when he goes to see Anisa, and Lee and Anisa fall for each other. Ben brings Anisa to Lordsburg so she can look for the men who killed her parents. Lee goes to his brother Clay's house, not knowing Clay and his gang are the ones who murdered Domingo and his wife (because Clay wanted their land). It all gets complicated from there, but basically, when Clay murders the judge and sheriff, who had been in his pocket, and then vows to kill Anisa, Lee leaves and heads to town to warn Ben. There's a shoot-out, and Ben and Lee managed to kill Clay and his gang. Lee and Anisa end up together. |
