Description:Joel (Robert Montgomery) and Garda (Rosalind Russell) are a married rare-book sellers/detectives. They're asked to assist with the sale of a rare Shakespeare manuscript, but things get complicated when the manuscript disappears and the seller is murdered. Joel investigates while Garda fusses about his safety. There are the usual multiple suspects and false leads, including a couple of forgeries of the manuscript before Joel find the killer — the dead man's lawyer.

Review - Fast and Loose

An obvious attempt to cash in on the Thin Man movies by different studio. Montgomery was pretty good as the cool-as-cucumber sleuth, but Russell didn't have much to do. The story wasn't compelling enough to make me care who killed whom.
