| Description: | Two teen girls, Val and Marian, meet at a fancy girls' school in NYC. They enjoy traipsing around the city, making up all sorts of scenarios. In Central Park, they happen upon concert pianist Henry Orient (Peter Sellers) trying to seduce Stella (Paula Prentiss). When they see him again a few days later, they develop a crush on him and begin following him around. Henry and Stella decide the girls are spies hired by Stella's husband. Val's absentee parents return home for the holidays. Val's mother, Isabel (Angela Lansbury) finds Val's scrapbook about Henry and gets the wrong idea. She confronts Henry, but instead of scaring him off, she and Henry begin an affair. Val and Stella are stalking Henry and see him kissing Isabel. Val's father Frank (Tom Bosley), realizing that his wife is cheating on him and that his daughter needs more attention, begins spending more time with her. Henry, when he finds out that Frank knows about him and Isabel, leaves the country. |
