| Description: | Follows the life of George Washington (William Franklyn-Miller) from his early life as a surveyor trying to make a name for himself. He is disappointed in his attempts to get a commission in the British army, to marry Sally, who is from a higher class, and to get the schooling he wants. He volunteers to survey the Ohio lands of Lord Fairfax, which leads to a mission for Virginia Governor Dinwiddie to demand the French abandon their fort on the Ohio River. Washington's men make a surprise attack on a group of French scouts which leads to war between France and England. The movie covers Washington's surrender at Fort Necessity and his heroics on Braddock's march. |
