Description:Gangster/night club operator Chips Maguire (Humphrey Bogart) is ratted out by an informer. He kills the man using a gun registered to his piano player, Tommy (Jeffrey Lynn). He blackmails Tommy into letting him stay at a boarding house owned by Tommy's mother and her friend. The friend's daughter, Sarah (Ann Sheridan) and Tommy were childhood friends before Tommy went to work for Chips and Sarah became a nightclub singer. Bored with living in his room at the boarding house, Chips gets an idea to turn the place into a nightclub. The old ladies who own the place go for it because they're about to lose it for not paying taxes. Sarah and Tommy work out an act and become part of the show at the new nightclub. But another resident (Zasu Pitts) finds out who Chips is and tells the police. They come to get Chips, and he's about to rat out Tommy, but when he realizes that Sarah and Tommy are in love, he decides to take the rap himself.

Review - It All Came True

A bit weird. A movie about a gangster/murderer hiding out in a boarding house suddenly turns into a musical review in which a magician performs with a trained poodle and a chorus of old women do a song and dance routine. It all moved along rather slowly and somehow missed being good.
