Description:Cab driver Patty (Ann Rutherford) sees a man (tom Conway) staggering into the street and stops to help. He has a gash on his head and doesn't remember his name. She taking him to the police station when they see a newspaper about the murder of a screenwriter. The description of the murdered matches the mystery man. Following clues in his pockets, Patty and the man go to a night club where a lot of people know him by name — Ted. The rest of the movie involves the two of them, plus a cop and a reporter, running around town chasing one suspect after another. It all has something to do with a plagiarized play written by a now-dead writer but claimed my another man. He, in turn, was being blackmailed. The murderer turned out to be an actress in the play. Ted and Patty get married.

Review - Two O'Clock Courage

a mess. Within minutes, I lost track of who was who. I never did figure out how Ted fit in to the whole thing. Or why Patty was so eager to help him even when it looked certain like he'd just committed murder. Or why she married him after about four hours of chasing around trying to find out who he was and whether he'd killed anyone. On top of all the confusion, there was a weird comedy thread through the whole bit involving a reporter who kept calling his editor and giving him a new name for the murder while the editor got increasingly frustrated.
