About half song, some of which were fairly clever. Other than than, the plot was nonsense.

| Description: | Bill (Fred MacMurray) is in love with Lucilla (June Haver). He's friends with Sally (Joan Leslie), not realizing she's in love with him. He wants to serve in WWII but is rated 4f. He meets a genie and wishes to be in the army, but the genie's time-travel device is broken, and Bill ends up in Washington's army at Valley Forge. He's captured by the Hessians and about to be shot as a spy when his genie sends him to one of Columbus' ships. He ends up in Manhattan and buys it from the Indians, then ends up in Holland. Finally the Genie gets him in the right time, but as a WAAC. That gets fixed. All through his travels through times, he meets earlier versions of Lucilla and Sally and realizes it's Sally he loves. Lucilla ends up with the genie. |
