Review - Raw Deal
Pretty good. Overly melodramatic, of course. Hunt, who can be hit or miss in movies, was pretty good here as the good girl in love with a bad man.

| Description: | Joe (Dennis O'Keefe) is in prison because he took the rap for his partner Rick (Raymond Burr). Rick helps Joe break out, thinking that the cops will kill him and get him out of Rick's life for good. But Joe gets away, with help from his girlfriend Pat (Claire Trevor). He plans to hide out in the apartment of Ann (Marsha Hunt), a sympathetic girl who works for his lawyer. But she wants him to give himself up and calls the cops. Joe flees with Pat and Ann, knowing the cops won't be looking for three people. Ann realizes Joe is no good, but when she sees one of Rick's cronies about to Joe him, she shoots the guy. Joe sends Ann home and makes plans to sail away with Pat. But Ann is captured by Rick, and Pat finds out. She wants to go away with Joe, but she can't bring herself to be quiet, knowing how Joe feels about Ann. She tells him. Joe goes to rescue Ann, kills Rick, but is killed himself and dies in Ann's arms as Pat looks on. |
