Description:Homer Trippe is henpecked and criticized by his wife Emmie. She's constantly comparing him to her college beau Oscar Armstrong (George Tobias). She refuses to let her daughter Bette (Lucile Fairbanks) marry Dan (George Reeves) because Emmie thinks he'll turn out like Homer. One evening when Homer is away, a bum comes begging — he turns out to be Oscar, a wanted conman who spent years in prison. Homer invites him over for supper the next night, but before he comes, Homer and another man rob the store where Homer works. Oscar steals a suit and comes over looking fancy. Emmie makes a fuss over him and insults Homer for being a failure. The police show up and arrest Oscar, but still Emmie refuses to believe anything bad about him. Then Dan shows up, having caught Oscar's partner in crime and recovered the stolen goods. Oscar gets carted off to jail while Emmie apologizes to Homer and gives her blessing to Bette and Dan's marriage. Homer's boss gives him a raise and a promotion.

Review - Calling All Husbands

Not to be taken seriously, but kept simple and quiet without a lot of shouting and nonsense typical of this sort of movie. I found it mildly amusing.
