Review - Gambling on the High Seas
More like a TV episode than movie. Dozens of newspaper headlines are used to advance the plot, which was pretty lame to begin with.

| Description: | Gangster Morella (Gilbert Roland) operates a crooked gambling ship. When he's suspected of killing two of his men who embezzled from him, reporter Jim Carter (Wayne Morris) investigates. With the help of Morella's secretary Laurie (Jane Wyman), Carter gets photos of the devices used to rig the gambling. But before Laurie can testify in court that the devices are real, she's kidnapped by Morella's gang. Carter offers himself as bait, and when Morella's men try to get Carter and Laurie off the ship, the police close in. Morella is convicted, and Carter and Laurie get married. |
