| Description: | Fictionalized history of the establishment of pan-American and trans-Pacific plane service by Pan American Airlines. Visionary Dave Logan (Pat O'Brien) browbeats everybody, including his wife, but in the end proves his vision can work. Humphrey Bogart plays Hap Stuart, the pilot who took the first plane across the Pacific. The drama involved whether Hap could take the plane through storms and make it to China by the time the contract deadline expired. Of course, he made it with five minutes to spare. |
