Description:Lawyer Nick (Luke Macfarlane) is up for partnership at his firm, but promotions traditionally go to married people. Elise (Jaime King) is stuck in a business partnership at a travel agency with her ex-husband who likes to taunt her with his new girlfriend. Nick and Elise connect at a food court over their mutual dislike of Christmas carols and decide to help each other out. They'll pretend to date so Nick gets the promotion and Elise can get back at her ex. Of course, they fall in love, even when their scheme is revealed. Nick gets the partnership and Elise decides to sell her half of the partnership and start over.

Review - Mistletoe Promise, The

The leads were actual real people with actual real problems, and they had great chemistry. The script broke down toward the end, with Elise refusing to get into a real relationship with Nick because she fell in love with him, which broke the contract — which makes no sense whatsoever. Hallmark always has to have the misunderstanding drama, but it didn't last long here. At one point, Nick asked to see the contract that Elise had with her husband, leading me to believe he'd find a way to clear Elise, but that never went anywhere.
