Description:Ted (Ryan Paevey) is marrying Kimberly (who used to be the mean girl in high school). He asks his best friend Jessica (Jocelyn Hudon) to be his best woman and wedding planner. Kimberly sees Jessica and Ted together and thinks Jessica has feelings for him — which Jessica decides she does. After some accusations and misunderstandings, Jessica puts forth extra effort to make sure the wedding is nice. But on the day, Ted can't be found. Jessica goes looking and finds him in the treehouse they used to hang in as kids. She talks Ted into marrying Kimberly, but when she gets him to the venue, Kimberly has decided she doesn't want to marry Ted because she isn't friends with him the way Jessica is. Six months later, Ted and Jessica marry.

Review - From Friend to Fiancé

Lots of problems with this one. First, Hudon is cute but can't act, or at least not in serious(ish) roles. Second, even if you can accept that Jessica and Ted are best friends without being in love, it's ridiculous to believe them to be best friends without ever having considered whether they're in love. The most reasonable person in this movie was Kimberly, who was concerned that her fiancé was closer to his girl friend than he was to her and decided that that was reason enough not to get married. Which brings up my third point. Why did all these people wait until the day of the wedding, when the decorations were up and the money had been spent and the guests had arrived, to figure this all out.
