Description:Faith (Jana Kramer) leaves her country roots and heads to NYC to be a singer. She meets Luke (Randy Wayne), son of prominent financier, and marry. Luke leaves his family's firm and joins one that's crooked. He knows fraud is going on but does nothing and is arrested. Faith, upset that he lied to her, goes home to live with her dad, Calvin (Gerald McRaney). She and Luke aren't speaking, even after his family gets him out of jail with a plea deal. But when Calvin is diagnosed with brain cancer, Faith calls Luke and asks him to make an appointment with the best doctor. Calvin goes to NY with her, but has no intention of getting surgery. He just wants to meet Luke and find out if he still loves Faith. Faith goes back to the farm and takes care of Calvin until he dies. Luke follows and stays there with her.

Review - Heart of the Country

Slow-moving, and the plot made it look like Faith would dump Luke and marry the local doctor. It even felt like I was being manipulated into wanting that. But Calvin's insistence that Luke fights to keep his wife and that Faith forgives him is the right way for it to end.
