Overly schmaltzy, but my biggest issue was with the inconsistencies in the story itself. Evie went to the town incognito, but within a day or two had revealed her identity to several people. Elizabeth sent Evie to do the giving, but went to the town to do it with her. The gifts were supposed to be surprises, but they chucked that and just had Evie asking people what they wanted. Why the story devices if they weren't going to stick with them? The leads were fine, but their story was just a small part of the plot.
