Chicago Harbor Lighthouse — Chicago, Illinois

When we walked through Millennium Park, we discovered there was a free concert scheduled for 6:30 that night — Beethoven and Brahms by the Grant Park Orchestra. We couldn’t pass that up, (well, I could, but my wife couldn’t) but we had an hour and a half to kill. We walked through Grant Park to the lake and walked along the shore. We strolled a bit and sat a bit, then strolled and sat some more. Among other things, we saw the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse. We didn’t make any particular effort to get close (this was the relaxing part of the day), but I did get these photos. The lighthouse was built in 1893. It was flashing a red light as we watched.
