My wife and I were walking through the woods toward the river about two miles from Lake Superior. I spotted the Porcupine shuffling through the woods. It climbed a birch tree approximately 20 feet off the trail. It hitched itself up slowly but surely, reaching up with its front claws, grabbing, then pulling its hind claws up.
