At the start of the day, the pleasant woman at the Clinton Museum Store recommended that we take the trolley all the way down to the Old State House Museum. We decided to walk, which turned out fine because we discovered “all the way” meant four blocks. We walked all over downtown Little Rock during the day and we kept seeing the trolleys running about.
After we toured the Historic Arkansas Museum in the afternoon, we decided to take the trolley back to our car. It was still only four blocks, but how often do you get a chance to ride a trolley. We waited at the stop for about 10 minutes (which was just about as long as it would have taken us to walk back to our car). It cost us $1.00 each.

We had the car to ourselves. The driver was a nice guy who greeted us warmly. As we began moving, we discovered he was also a tour guide. He gave us a running commentary on the buildings we passed and other interesting stuff.

We reached the west end of the line and turned back toward our destination. I asked the driver which stop was closest to our parking lot. He pointed to another trolley visible in the distance, but he also told me it would take 30 minutes to get there.
It turns out that the trolley route crossed the Main Street Bridge and makes a loop around North Little Rock before crossing back over and heading where we wanted to go. We decided to stay aboard and enjoy the cheap, personal tour.

It was just a spontaneous end-of-the-day decision, but it turned out to be the highlight of the day.
