Wade House

On our way to a short weekend trip to Northern Wisconsin, we stopped at the Wade House Historic Site. We took a short carriage ride to the house and were guided through those parts of it not packed with school groups.

It was about half a mile from the visitor center to the Wade House. We could have walked, but we opted for the carriage ride. The horses are Percherons.

We visited the Wade House many years ago on a day that was so hot the carriage rides weren’t available for fear the horses would overheat.
