Fort Vancouver National Historic Site — Vancouver, Washington
There is a large English-style garden in front of the Hudson’s Bay stockade in the National Park. As I walked along the path that led past this garden, five or six Oregon Juncos were foraging in the grass and perching on the rails of the fence. At least two of them were males with dark heads that contrasted sharply with the pinkish-brown backs and sides.
I only had my cell phone with me, and so my photos are awful, but for the sake of documentation …
