Pizza

Yesterday, we had 15 friends over for a pizza party. We ordered a pizza from each of the six places that deliver to our house and rated them (5 for “I’ll never eat anything else as long as I live” and 1 for “I’d rather eat road kill”).

Here’s how I expected them to line up, best to worst.

  1. Papa Saverio’s
  2. Galati’s
  3. Rosati’s
  4. Jimano’s
  5. Generoso
  6. Domino’s

Here’s the result of the voting, with the average rating for each.

  1. Jimano’s (3.75)
  2. Galati’s (3.5)
  3. Rosati’s (3.5)
  4. Generoso (2.85)
  5. Papa Saverio’s (2.56)
  6. Domino’s (1)

I was sorta hoping the deliverers would show up at the same time, but it didn’t happen even once.

Everyone also brought unusually-flavored drinks — aloe, honey, puma(?), pineapple, orange cream, etc. After we ate, we played two rounds of Bunco. I took some pictures, but in each of them at least one of my friends is stuffing a cookie into his or her mouth, so I won’t post them. The prizes were a plush Batman candy basket (from Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Shop), a super-soaker, a battery-operated train set (from Dollar General) and a gift card from Panera. With all the fun and crowd and laughter, I forgot to get photographs of the prizes.

At the end of the evening, we all went outside and sat around the fire pit. I burned the final two pickets of the old fence, officially finishing off my summer-long project.
