Review - Thirty-Nine Steps, The

The plot moved rapidly and was exciting, and had a good feel for the atmosphere of England and Scotland. At times it was totally implausible, but this can be forgiven because the book was breaking new ground. It was more believable and compelling than many more recent spy novels I've read.
