Notes:A hilarious account of the Gilbreth family, who had 12 children! This book covers the 1920's when Mr Gilbreth was an engineer who helped factories/government come up with ways to do their jobs more quickly. He applies these same principles to his family of 12 with hilarious results.

Review - Cheaper By the Dozen

I enjoyed the book and laughed a few times. It prompted me to look up Frank Gilbreth on the internet. A fan has created a web site devoted to the family — it includes further biographies of the children — at http://gilbrethnetwork.tripod.com/dozen.html. One interesting thing I learned from this site: Mary died in 1912 (never mentioned in the book), so all 12 children were never alive at the same time.
